This is a 12-page zine about the history of cassette tapes in Egypt and their use as a people's
archival tool and a way to share voices, and everyday stories. It highlights artists who rose to
fame through cassettes (Sheikh Imam & Adaweya), and brings back the charm of cassette
tape art in a fun and light way. The visuals are a mix of treated images of covers, archives,
Art Nouveau–inspired frames, and original illustrations.
One of my favorite projects ever, and now It's on sale in Rizo Masr.
This zine is a visual and narrative attempt to trace my grandmother's life and history. It's about
how stories are carried, distorted, and felt across generations, even when they remain incomplete.
